Hola a tots/es,
Al final hem decidit començar el blog i
així serà més fàcil per tothom seguir-nos la pista.
La idea del viatge no està gaire
organitzada (ja ens coneixeu), anirem fent sense pressa i arribarem fins on la
furgo i nosaltres diguem prou.
Bé doncs avui comencem a posar-nos
"manos a la masa".
El nom del blog és "Bertha on the
road" i suposo que us preguntareu pel nom.
Us faré una petita introducció. El nom
ve d'uns dibuixos animats d'Anglaterra, Bertha és una màquina que treballa a
una fàbrica i és molt especial perquè pot fer qualsevol cosa que li
demanis.
La furgo va ser anomenada així després d'un viatge a Budapest per un amic nostre, en Tim L.
La cançó del dibuixos diu això:

I comencem el viatge
des de Polònia.... I Polònia ?? Quant la furgo és de UK...
Doncs, després de mecànics amunt i
avall i molta esperança perquè passes la M.O.T (ITV a Espanya), la va
fallar.
El mecànic, bàsicament ens va dir que
el desguàs estaria molt còmode... Però com ja sabeu, la Bertha és la segona
companya sentimental de l'Oliver i ell no la abandonaria per res del
món....
Així que Oliver li va tocar recorre un
viatge de UK fugint de les autoritats de trànsit angleses (va marxar del país
abans que la M.O.T caduques ;0 ).
La primera parada va ser a Eslovàquia,
on el nostre veí de Leeds, Jan, li va recomanar anar a veure el seu pare que el
podria ajudar amb la Bertha. Després d'uns dies allà va venir cap a
Polònia... Vaig arribar jo, visites familiars... Posteriorment vàrem tornar a
Leeds per arreglar quatre coses i volar cap on estem avui, Torun, Polònia;
"from the best area (Armley) in the world to the best district in the
world" Wojteck Nornicki.
Els mecànics Polacs han fet l'ultima
revisió i ben barata i ara està com nova. I a més a més, després d'uns dies
fantàstic a casa de la nostra segona família de Polònia, ens toca fer un
pensament i començar el viatge, deixant Polònia i encaminant-nos cap
Ucraïna.

Hi everyone,
We decided to start this blog so it is easier for everyone to see what we are doing.
The idea of the trip is not very organized (you already know us), we will go at a leisurely pace and we will continue until the van and/or we have had enough.
Well, today we begin to "fire up the stove".
The name of the blog is "Bertha on the road" and I suppose you are wondering about this name.
I will make a brief introduction. The name comes from an English cartoon, Bertha is a machine that works in a factory and it is very special because it can do anything you ask.
The van was named after a trip to Budapest by a friend of ours, Tim L.

Why do we start the trip from
Poland when Bertha is registered in the UK?
Well, after much to-ing and fro-ing between mechanics and much hope (and no-more-nails) to pass the M.O.T, Bertha failed.
The mechanic told us that Bertha would be very comfortable in the scrap yard ... But as you know, Bertha and her hole is Oliver's lover and he would not leave her for anything in the world...
So Oliver had to travel from the UK, escaping from English traffic authorities (no, he left the country before the MOT expired; 0).
The first stop was Slovakia, where Jan, our neighbour in Leeds is from. He recommended that Oliver go to see his father for low-cost help with Bertha. After a few days there they went to Poland... Ol got a visit from me, then family visits ... Later we returned to fix a couple of things in Leeds and we flew back to where we are today, Torun, Poland; "from the best district (Armley) in the world to the best city in the world" Wojteck Nornicki.
Polish mechanics have done a last check-up, and very cheaply, Bertha is like new now. What's more, after some lovely days at our second Polish family’s home, we have to start thinking about making the trip, leaving Poland towards Ukraine.
